New Amore Designs

Wigs Online now carries a small range of Amore wigs with many more styles to come.  Amore wigs are one of the highest quality synthetic wigs you can find. They are designed with the consumer needing wigs for medical purposes regardless of whether its cancer, alopecia or any form of hair loss.  Many of the styles feature a mono top where the hair is hand tied to the sheer transparent monofiliament in the crown area of the wig.

AM_Codi_AuburnSugar_4  Codi is an elegant style angled bob with a side swept fringe.  The longer sides frame your face while the back is shorter and looks great.  It features a monofilament top that which gives you versatility of changing your part with the hair being multi directional.  It has a nice density of hair without looking too heavy.

Madelyn is a great fashionable wig with the most beautiful shade.  Many of the two toned wigs have Long roots that give you an ombre style.  There are many vibrant colours like the  Crimson LR and Macadamia LR.  Madelyn also has a mono top so you can style the wig easily to where you want it parted.  It gives the wig the most realistic look.

Tatum is a great length for those not wanting a short wig but not too long.  It makes it an easy to manage style and looks very elegant. This wig looks exactly like the picture.  Its available in many colours to suit everyone.

Most of us  are all within a small frame of size to each other.  However, sometimes we are just smaller than the average.  We have a few Petite wigs by Jon Renau that we stock in a few different colours.

Bree2Bree Petite – A short layered pixie style with a Capless wig design. It is part of the O’Solite range that is light and easy to wear.  The wefted back allows for superior ventilation to stop the wearer from overheating.

Larger Wig Cap Options

Believe it or not most of us have an average size head and there isn’t much difference between large and small.  All wigs have adjustments along the nape of the wig.  Some have velcro and others have tabs.  You can adjust the wig to be smaller or bigger.  However, sometimes some of us are not average and need a little more room in our wig.

Jon Renau make a small selection of wigs in a large size.  These 5 styles are different lengths and some are wavy while others are straight which is a great selection.  Everyone will find something to match their style.  We don’t keep a stock of the larger caps because they are not very popular but we can order it in specially at no extra cost and within 2 weeks.

Allure2Allure is a capless design with a gorgeous short pixie style.  The beautiful wispy layers with a tapered neck suits many wearers.  The cap is a capless style which is light and comfortable to wear.

Rene of Paris have so many beautiful Hi Fashion wigs and Felicity is definitely one of the these.

It is a long style with loads of layers to give it a full volume look.  The layers have a lovely softness around the face.  It is a ready to wear wig with no fuss and easy to wear.  It looks very natural and very feminine.  The open wefting back creates great air ventilation to provide comfort in the heat. The cap is lightweight which adds to the comfort of the wig.

Rene of Paris are renowned for the quality synthetic hair they use for all their wigs.  As long as a wig is cared for properly it will last and look great for a long time.

Always Shampoo and Condition regularly with proper wig shampoo and conditioner to ensure the fiber stays nice.

Wigs Online takes appointments for clients to visit with one of our sales consultants in our Vermont Showroom.  Appointments are necessary so you can receive the individual service you need when choosing a wig. We also, like to give our clients privacy so they don’t have to try wigs on with other people looking.  It can be a very emotional experience for a first time wearer. Our consultant will sit with you on a one to one basis and explain the differences between wigs to help you decide what will suit your needs. Then we will look through the website to choose wigs that may be suitable.

We have a small area that is private with a fitting room you can use if you prefer.

Here are some things to consider to help you before your appointment:

  1.  Have a look through our website ( www.wigsonline.com.au )to see what styles you like.  We have so many styles that its impossible for us to display every wig so we will get out any wig that you ask for and any wig that the consultant feels would be great for your requirements.
  2. Ask a friend or a family member to come along for support and another opinion if you feel that it would help.
  3. Allow up to an hour so you don’t feel rushed.
  4. Have a think about whether you want Human Hair or Synthetic Hair.  Check some of information we have on other articles on the blog 
  5. Think about your budget.  We will always find you  the best solution for your budget.

Aria – New Rene of Paris Style

The Aria is a little different from the some of the others from Rene of Paris.  It is one of the newest styles from their latest collection.

There is so much to love about this wig.  It features a lace front which gives you the most realistic hairline.  It enables the wearer to be able to wear the hair away from the face and for it to be not noticeable that its a wig. It is so fine that it becomes translucent on the face and becomes very undetectable.

The style of the Aria wig is very fashionable while being classic and very chic.  The classic A- Line Bob with a long fringe and tapered neck.  The long fringe drapes nicely to frame the face nicely.  It comes in over 18 different beautiful shades from blondes, reds and browns.

One of my favorite colours would be the Plumberry Jam which is just sensational.  It really makes a statement.

Julianne and Scarlett all have one thing in common, they are both made by Jon Renau.  They have different features which allows for a similar style to be matched to two different budgets.  The quality of the hair is exactly the same but the cap is very different.

Scarlett is a great alternative for those who can’t afford the Julianne.  New to the Jon Renau Collection,  Scarlett offers you on trend shoulder length perfect beach wave style. The Smartlace front which mimics a natural hairline allows you to style the hair away from your face with confidence for added versatility. Julianne is a  beautiful wavy mid-length bob that looks incredibly natural. You will love the sexy loose and effortless beach waves and casual chic of this wig. The length is slightly shorter in the back than in the front. The 100% Hand tied cap is what makes the biggest difference to the Scarlett. The 100% hand-tied stretch cap is completely hand-knotted creating supreme comfort and natural movement. Misconceptions about Wigs

Wigs can be a mystery to many. Many people don’t know much about wigs has they haven’t had any exposure to anyone wearing wigs or have worn wigs themselves.  Wigs are becoming more popular as they are easy to wear and look great.  The right wig can make life easy for the client.  Below are some of the misconceptions that we have found:

1. Wigs Look Fake

There will always be some cheap and nasty wigs around.  However, if  you do a little research you will find some really great features of a wig that can make them look very realistic.  A good lace front wig can give you such a realistic hair line.  A mono top wig can help with styling a wig to suits you as you can move the part from left to right or place in the centre.  Choosing the right colour can certainly help with not making a wig look fake.  Obviously a bright purple wig will look fake as its not a natural colour.  As long as your wig fits well and is taken care of properly wigs can look really realistic.

2. Wigs are Hot and Itch

Wigs are designed with in mind of the comfort of the wearer.  Good quality wigs are made up with good fabrics and materials. Many mono top wigs are really soft and comfortable for the wearer.

3. Wigs can fall off Easily

Wigs have adjustments along the nape to help making the wig to fit firmly and comfortable.  You should always change the adjustments to suit yourself.  Please note that a wig adjusted too tight can actually push the wig upwards and will feel like its coming off.  If you take a little time to try a couple adjustments you will find the right measurement for you.

4. Wigs are too Costly

There are so many wig styles to suit many budgets without compromising the quality of the wig. Synthetic Wigs start as low as $100  and can be as high as $700 for a premium quality wig.  The inside cap and the hair quality is where you will see the differences between the budgets.

5. Wig slows hair growth

People think that if they wear a wig their existing hair underneath will stop growing.  This is not true at all. Wigs sit over the top of your existing hair and place no strain on your hair.  Hair Extensions and clip ins can pull on your hair and hinder natural growth but not wigs.

6. Wigs don’t have Natural Hair Movement

A good quality wig can have great natural hair movement.  However, this will depend on the quality of the wig.  Some premium brands like Jon Renau, Ellen Wille, Henry Margu, etc: spend a lot of time designing their wigs so they look as real as possible to natural hair.  A wig can have great natural hair movement.

7. Human Hair wigs are better than Synthetic Hair Wigs

Depending on your budget and what you want the wig for, Human Hair may not be the answer for you. Good Synthetic wigs can look and feel better than cheap Human Hair wigs.  Human Hair Wigs do take a lot more care and require styling after each wear.  Some clients prefer to wear synthetic so they don’t need to worry about styling.

8. Only Old people  wear wigs

Clients wear wigs for all sorts of reasons and its not just for the old. Emma is part of the Smartlace Range from Jon Renau and is one of those wigs that just suits everyone.  It features a Lace front and has a Mono top.  The Smartlace Front allows the wearer to pull the hair away from the face without showing that it is a wig. The front of the wig can be pulled down to cover your forehead or brushed back for a different look. Clients are always surprised how realistic the hairline looks. The image to the right shows you exactly how a lace front can look so real.

As you can see below the wig’s volume is perfect for the client who wants a good coverage but not too much hair. Emma comes in a full range of colours but if you find a colour that we don’t stock we can specially order it for you at no extra cost.
